Fact-Checking the Fact-Makers
Auditing the Fourth Estate — Breaking the News About the News
The Media Audit Platform
1. The Crisis of Trust in Global Media
We are developing a platform to restore the standards of journalism.
Right now, as mass media reach declines, trust is also plummeting due to widespread manipulation, activism, overtly biased positions, and the open endorsements of candidates by legacy institutions like The New York Times and The Washington Post. People have stopped believing in journalism standards. Media outlets have become representatives and mouthpieces for political parties instead of fulfilling their primary goal: the objective delivery of information.

Manipulation, antisemitism, and fake news

In its international edition, The New York Times published a cartoon depicting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a dog on a leash held by Donald Trump.
NYT: “We regret the publication of this antisemitic cartoon. It was offensive and an error.” (NYT, April 29, 2019)
After the backlash, the paper stopped running editorial cartoons in its international edition. But, as we now know — it didn’t stop publishing “starving boys.”

Fact: The watchdog group HonestReporting noticed an inconsistency — another healthy child appeared in the background, undermining the “starvation” claim. Later, CNN and NYT confirmed with the boy’s mother that he was not starving, but rather suffered from a muscular disease requiring special nutrition and therapy.
Once again, a powerful image replaced reality, weaponizing emotion to perpetuate a modern-day blood libel.
By their own (Hamas) admission, they don’t allow civilians. But NYT took an even bolder step — they somehow managed to blame Israel for that too.
The most terrible thing is that even after the war stops — in the case of the hostages — they still manage to openly sympathize with the “Palestinian militant group”.
The anniversary of October 7 and three articles
But even that’s not enough for them — they go further and add to the narrative: another false equivalence between the hostages and the terrorists serving 11 life sentences for mass murder.
Unthinkable, but CNN managed to reverse the aggressor and the victim. The headline was corrected a few days later, but the damage had already been done, as always
The Guardian published an article on the anniversary of October 7. They included an investigation into Palestinian children who were killed, without mentioning the Israeli children who were kidnapped and killed on that day
Iran as evidence of a systematic worldview
CNN and the changing view of “resistance groups”
Since the New York Times Co. v. Sullivan precedent, the concept of media accountability has vanished. Previously, outlets could be fined for serious errors, but standards were weakened by this very precedent.
The Surgeon’s Analogy: The profession of a journalist is like that of a surgeon — perhaps even more serious. If a surgeon makes a mistake, one person dies. If the media intentionally misleads its readers, an entire nation can be made the object of hatred, or — as seen in Rwanda with Radio Télévision Libre des Mille Collines — an entire genocide can be incited.
2. Case Study: Altering reality through narrative
After October 7, when a horrific attack was carried out against Israel, the media — using information from Hamas — managed to turn the victim and the aggressor upside down.
Fifty Global, in conjunction with the HJS, analyzed 1,378 articles from major global media outlets (CNN, BBC, NYT, WP, The Guardian, AP, Reuters, ABC). Their findings were staggering:
4% of media publish data from the democratic Israeli state.
100% rely on Hamas — an organization that has established total totalitarianism in Gaza.
Minimal Media Representation of Israeli Sources
Only a negligible percentage of publications cite Israeli data, indicating a significant underrepresentation of Israeli sources.
Hamas-provided data appears in the vast majority of publications.
The media have chosen to rely almost entirely on information from a ministry fully controlled by the terrorist organization Hamas, while refusing to trust a state that is considered a full democracy according to Freedom House:
In doing so, media have triggered the most horrific wave of antisemitism the world has seen in history.
Global Antisemitism incidents surged by 324.8% compared to 2023, Fueled by Far-Left
Far-left incidents surged by 324.8% compared to 2023, rendering the far-left the dominant ideological camp of antisemitic incidents. Radicalized social movements, media disinformation campaigns, and efforts to target Jewish communities under the guise of anti-Israel activism have primarily fueled this increase.
68.4% of incidents recorded in 2024 (4,329 of 6,326) were linked to far-left ideology.
According to a Combat Antisemitism study and recent polling:
60% of US Gen Z support Hamas in Harvard-Harris poll
60% of young Americans support Hamas over Israel.
33% of Democrats and 18% of Republicans support Hamas across all age groups.

We could not stand idly by. We are building a platform to prevent such propaganda from infiltrating the media in the future.
3. We built a platform to transform journalism
The platform helped me identify vulnerable spots that violated the standards, which allowed me to conduct high-quality research:
Below you can see all the verification stages and the core features of our media-checking platform currently available.
New features are continuously being added.
The interface is incredibly intuitive: simply paste a link into the search bar — just like using Google — hit the button, and receive your analysis.

4. The Strategy: Navigating the Market Shift
Former CNN CEO Chris Licht: Viewers have ‘lost trust’ in legacy media
Currently, there is a natural market transition of audiences from media outlets to AI assistants. People are stopping their traditional subscriptions and moving to Grok, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude.
The free market has provided a new mechanism: all information in one place. Consequently, in the near future, these AI platforms will begin paying media outlets for providing primary information.
This is where we come in. We act as the intermediary — the verification layer —enabling AI assistants to audit the media they consume. How well a media outlet performs its job will directly determine how much AI assistants pay them.
5. Our Solution: The Integrity Index
First, we provide a general Integrity Index. At its core lies a meticulously designed constitution, composed of all journalism standards and precedents. It brings any media outlet or journalist back to foundational principles if they choose to rely on biased sources, narratives, emotions, or other factors that distort reality in a “desired direction”.
The Three-Stage Verification Process:
Verification of the Media Outlet: Analysis of violation frequency and gravity of past errors.
Verification of the Journalist: Conflicts of interest, perspective on dictatorships, employment history, and reliance on anonymous sources.
Verification of Sources: Involvement in terrorism, history of disinformation, and whether the media continued to use a source after they were debunked.
Next comes a wide range of other factors — from checking affiliations with dictatorships, to presenting information from the perspective of an unfree society, and other violations for which the platform deducts points.
It accounts for strict legal aspects, including actual international law rather than non-binding UN resolutions that often clutter the internet’s index and infiltrate LLM responses.
6. Monetization & Integration
AI assistants see exactly who they are dealing with. Within a free market, the LLM can either refuse to work with an outlet that systematically violates standards or pay them based on their quality score.
The “Community Notes” for AI
Similar to the model implemented by Grok, an AI assistant could provide our comprehensive verification data to users as a premium feature for an additional monthly fee.
7. Current Progress & Roadmap
Status: The platform is already yielding strong results.
Features: User dashboard, article search history, Google login, and the ability to analyze articles behind paywalls.
Pioneer Advantage: There is currently nothing like this on the market.
In development: Video content verification for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
What We Need:
We are seeking networking and funding to scale this mission.
Connections: Introduction to donors or partners in the LLM space (Grok, Gemini, Claude, etc.) for integration negotiations.
Financials: Detailed budget and roadmap available upon request.
Structure: We are considering a non-profit status to allow for tax deductions for donors.

Most of these major news sources are the MSM as people call it didn't mention the fact that Hezbollah started firing rockets on us into the civilian population while we were busy killing supposed Lebanese civilians which turned out to be Hezbollah members who had funerals wrapped in Hezbollah flags. So that their readers and viewers started to really really hate us over the last couple of months yeah it's something to chew on but it's not something to swallow. Great article thanks for putting it out there
What are you using for fact checking and baselining of the narrative? Eg. They present Hamas as resistance vs terror group. We know which one it is. How does your tool know?
